Client time reports you can send in two clicks

Group tracked time by client, project and day, then export it to PDF or share a short link. Pick how long the link works and which language the report is in.

From tracked time to a report your client understands

A time report is the proof behind an invoice: what you worked on, when and for how long. Tickario builds it from the entries you already have, so there is nothing to copy into a spreadsheet. You choose the period and the filters, and the report follows.

CapabilityHow it works
PeriodsThis week, last week, this month, last month, this year, last year or a custom date range.
FiltersBy client and by project, including “no project” and “no client”.
ViewsSummary (totals and charts) and Detail (every matching entry).
PDF exportThe same filtered range as a detailed report, with the client logo when the report is for one client.
Share linkA short public link; lifetime of 1, 7, 30 or 90 days, or no expiration. No login for the viewer.
LanguageThe report language is selectable and applies to both the PDF and the shared page.
The reports screen: period and client filters, total time and cost, a chart by day and a breakdown by project.

Summary and detail

The Summary view answers the questions a client asks first: how much time in total, what it costs, which project took the most and which client the work was for. It shows total time, total cost (per currency when you work in several), the top project and the top client, a chart of time by day (or by week or month for longer periods) and a breakdown by project as a ring with percentages.

The Detail view lists every matching entry so you can check what goes into the totals, and edit an entry if you spot a mistake before sending anything.

PDF: the detailed report

Export to PDF produces a detailed report of the same filtered range. It opens with the report title and the period, shows the total time and a breakdown by project, and then lists the entries with date, description, duration and, on the line below, the project and the start and end times. A footer says the report was created in Tickario.

A shortened example of the exported PDF: when the report is filtered by one client, that client’s logo goes in the corner.

Client logo

When the report is filtered to exactly one client and that client has a logo, the logo is placed in the corner of the PDF and of the shared page. If a report covers several clients, no logo is added, because one logo above mixed clients would be misleading.

Share link with a lifetime

Not every client wants an attachment. A share link opens the same report in a browser, without an account. Each link is short, for example tickario.com/r/Ab3kP9xQ2m, so it is easy to paste into a message.

  1. Open Reports, choose the period and filters.
  2. Press Share report.
  3. Choose the link lifetime: 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or no expiration.
  4. Press Create link and copy it, or send it directly through WhatsApp, Telegram or email.

Use a fixed period for links you send

A share link stores the filters, not a snapshot. For a relative period such as “this week”, the link shows whichever week is current when it is opened. For a report you are sending to a client, choose “last week”, “last month” or a custom range so the link keeps showing the same days.

Who can open it

Anyone who has the link can view that report, and only that report. The page is not indexed by search engines. When a link expires, it shows a short message instead of the report.

The report in your client’s language

Your interface language and your client’s language are often different. The report language selector sits next to the Share and Export buttons and defaults to your interface language. Choose another one, and the PDF and the shared page use it for every label, such as column names, totals and chart titles. Entry descriptions stay as you wrote them. Nine languages are available: English, Russian, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese and Kazakh.

What reports are not

A Tickario report is a statement of tracked time and its value at your rates. It is not an invoice, does not carry tax information and does not convert currencies. If your client expects an invoice, attach the report to it, and read our guide to client time reports for what to include.
